Kusarigama of Isshin Ryu 一心流 (Type 3) - Kata 19 (7 Ura)

The chain goes to the right hand as it will be cast.  The right side goes forward and the rotations are of the figure 8 type.  The direction is downwards.  The weight is cast at the head but the casting distance is low - the weight is simply let go when it is only about 30cms from the target, in terms of actual distance.  The slack is dropped.







The sickle is passed back to the right hand and the right arm is attacked - avoided by removing the hand from the sword.  On return to shizentai the chain has been gathered by the left hand.  At the block, note the hand position is as if a Jo was held.
