Here we compare the Ura to the previous Omote version.
The kata are very similar. Here the sword is beat down rather than creating a bind - the other functions are similar.This difference of beating or binding was also found in the comparison of Kata 5 and its Ura. This may be comparable to the Jodo elements of Maki Otoshi and Hiki Otoshi. I am aware this has little to do with the chain however the relationship to Jodo is I think critical to analysis of this Ryu.
